Dodoland was founded in the spring of 2005 through the common goal of the three members to play their own music. The style of the singer-songwriter trio can be described as contemporary folk/pop, but contains various other influences, arising principally from the different musical origins of the trio.

Dietmar Dombrowsky is a multi-lingual jazz guitarist from Mauritius, Narin Kiki a singer with Syrian roots and a background in acapella music, Stephen Laskey an experienced singer-songwriter from London.

The music of Dodoland is arranged for three voices, two guitars and light percussion. All the songs were composed by one or more members of the band.
